The Department of Microbiology has a rich history and long tradition of training world-class scientists. As we enter into this new era of genomics and molecular life science research we are well on our way to training the next generation of researchers. If you have not already done so, please visit the other areas of our web page (http://www.osumicrobiology.org); you will see that we have recently added several new faculty members. Our facilities are also growing. In addition to our fermentation facility, the Plant-Microbe Genomics Facility provides high-throughput DNA sequencing, DNA array, proteomics, and surface plasmon resonance services.

It’s an especially exciting time to be entering the field of Microbiology and we very much hope that you will join our Graduate Program.
