Schedule
a Fermentation
Call
(614) 292-3277 and let the manager know
the following:
-
If this is your first
contact with the fermentation lab.
If not, give the time you last had
a fermentation run.
-
Desired volume of
the fermentation.
Specific organism
you want to grow and the recommended
protocol (if there is one).
-
Total time (estimation
of course) of the fermentation.
If you're not sure we can go over
the protocol together and schedule
it accordingly. This is mainly
for organisms which are new to the
lab.
-
If you want the organism
to express a protein (recombinant
or otherwise) let me know if there
are any specific aspects of the fermentation
which may be important.
-
The purpose of the
fermentation.(optional)
Keep
in mind that all fermentations must
be approved by the manager before any
work begins. Also, we will need
all standard media components before
noon on the day before the fermentation
is scheduled to start.
