Undergrad Research in Dr. Williams' Lab
  • Au/06: Faith Dedino is constructing human cell lines expressing a shRNA vector for use in down-regulating human deoxyuridine triphosphate nucleotidohydrolase (dUTPase).
  • Au/06: Dan Duval is continuing his studies and is cloning, expressing and purifying the human herpesvirus 8 encoded dUTPase.

  • Au/06: Sandy Duenas is constructing N-terminal deletion mutants of the Epstein-Barr virus dUTPase and will be purifying the mutant proteins.

  • Au/06: Derek Ransburgh is subcloning the EBV encoding dUTPase gene into a his-tag vector and purifying the pecombinant protein.
  • Au/06: Matt Wittenauer is constructing N-terminal deletion mutants of the EBV encoded dUTPase with TAT tags which will allow the mutant protein to enter cells.
  • Au/06: Priyanka Mude is examining the effects of a uracil DNA glycosylase inhibitor on cell cycle.
