  • Au/06: Augustine Hong is working in the area of tuberculosis pathogenesis using molecular approaches to identify new biosynthetic enzymes that build critical carbohydrate virulence determinants on the cell wall of Mycobacterium tuberculosis . These determinants mediate interactions with host cells in modulating the innate immune response during infection.
