  • Wi/06-Sp/06: Sajay Nimer worked with BALB-NeuT transgenic mice.  He was involved in obtaining tail clippings from mice and PCR screening these mice to determine which mice are heterozygous for the NeuT transgene.  He also assisted in immunizing mice with various peptide constructs for the HER-2 neu oncogene as a vaccine for breast cancer.
  • Sp/06: Ahmed Behery worked on a project concerning synthesizing and testing the efficacy of designed synthetic peptides as viral fusion inhibitors against HTLV-1 retrovirus.
