  • Sp/06: Kaely Snider worked with a graduate student to help characterize the interactions between various components of the archaeal protein synthesis machinery.
  • Au/05-Sp/06: Isabel Manring studied how a component of the protein synthesis machinery has been duplicated and recruited to help out with membrane biosynthesis in bacteria.

  • Sp/06: Nicole Legando worked on a project that investigates the role of tRNA mutations in mitochondrial function.  This involved using yeast as a model system and focused on quality control during the utilization of phenylalanine in protein synthesis.
